Fighting together for an iron strong generation

A movement is building to combat one of the world’s most overlooked health challenges

Nearly 2 billion people

are living with anemia worldwide¹, a major public-health challenge whose scale remains far greater than the attention it receives. Behind much of this burden is iron deficiency, the leading contributor to anemia globally, which if unaddressed can progress to Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA).

2 out of 3 anemia cases

are caused by iron deficiency¹. Yet IDA often remains quiet, invisible and under-recognized, especially in children, where the consequences can affect energy, immunity, growth and cognitive development long before they are detected or treated.

This is the story of why we need to act earlier, what is changing, and a model that shows it is possible to help prevent IDA and give every child the chance to grow iron strong.
